Housing Support
Housing support is a pedagogical, practical, and social intervention aimed at helping individuals manage their daily lives.
Housing support works to engage, encourage, and motivate individuals towards independence by assisting them in performing activities. The specific needs of the individual determine how the housing support intervention will be structured and when it will be carried out. Housing support is provided in the individual's own home or out in the community. According to proven experience, housing support provides increased ability to independently manage one's home life, increased participation in community activities, and improved functional levels.
We are now looking for more secure housing support workers for the Centrum and Väst areas!
Your Responsibilities
As a housing support worker, you will work daily with individuals based on individual planning. You provide support to individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities, mental illnesses, and substance abuse. Your role includes being a support in daily activities so that the person you meet can manage their home and personal care. You will facilitate and ease contact with various stakeholders, such as healthcare providers, authorities, and other social contacts, all with the aim of helping the individual eventually develop the ability to manage this more independently.
Housing support is carried out by planning together with the individual, developing strategies, and performing various daily activities. The goal is for the individual to eventually be able to perform the activities based on their own conditions. Support is provided in the person's home but also out in the community.
Collaboration within the team and with other units is a central part of the work. We use evidence- and research-based methods such as Independent Living (ESL), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Resources in Meeting Aggression (REISMA), and Clarifying Pedagogy (TP). The work also involves documentation. Housing support is a mobile job. Support is provided in people's homes throughout our catchment area, and you will mostly walk or bike between visits.
Co-planning between our operations may occur. Working hours are during the day and evening.
If you apply for housing support in Centrum, you will have the opportunity to help start a new work group. You will be involved in developing work methods and routines – a task that is both stimulating and meaningful.
